Children's Choir

The Children/Youth Choirs will sing Sunday morning for the 10 a.m. service. They are singing a very special hymn for the Confirmation Service called, "Go my children with my blessing," to the tune of the familiar folk song, "All through the night,"  that parent's sometime sing to their youngsters when putting them to bed at night. The Children/Youth Choirs are asked to be in the Choir Hall of the Undercroft promptly at 9 a.m. to rehearse with the Adult Choir. They will robe after rehearsal and then process with the Adult Choir at the Service. They sing after the Psalm is said. Then they will be released to their parents in the pews.

 

The Children/Youth Choirs have a final rehearsal this Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. They are preparing "We have another world in view," and "He's walking with His children," to be sung for the Awards Sunday Service at 10 a.m. on May 20th.

 

There will be a Pool Party during the first week of June, information to be announced later this week.

St. Paul’s offers several opportunities for young people to “lift up their voices to the Lord!” Three groups of children and youth gather on Wednesdays between 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. in the Under-croft to learn music of our faith and prepare to sing monthly at the 9:30 a.m. service. These groups are aged 4-5 years; 1st graders and 2nd graders; and youth with unchanged voices from 3 grade and up.

George Mims oversees the Children's and Youth Choirs and directs the Parish Choir with Lydia Chandler assisting with the 4 and 5 year olds Music Group.
