Confirmation

2012 Confirmation Classes Begin...
If you're a sixth grader, or the parent of a sixth grader, mark your calendar for Sunday, January 22, at 3:30 p.m. We'll kick off confirmation class with an introductory meeting for both students and parents in the Conference Room, followed by a regular class session for the confirmands. We look forward to seeing you then!


Confirmation is one of the rites of the Church, and we celebrate it so that those being confirmed can "make a mature public affirmation of their faith and commitment to the responsibilities of their Baptism and to receive the laying on of hands by the bishop." (BCP, pg 412)

Youth Confirmation classes at Saint Paul's are open to all sixth graders. Exploring Scripture, Church History, the Prayer Book, and other parts of our faith life, we learn about the ways God is calling us to take on our Baptismal vows as mature members of the Church. In these classes the students have breakout groups to engage in conversation about the day's lesson while forming relationships with each other and an adult mentor from the church
